Arsen's excellent Gusto EP now receives BTS remix treatment. “Wombat” as the most catchy tune of the original release even gets served twice: First Okoli picks up its deep vibe. Adding kind of a sensual feel, he even provides a whiff of dirtyness. Second is Polarclouds with a more straightforward interpretation of the tune, leading to a Soul-Rave feeling.
“Schweine und Diamanten” gets reconstructed by Metasound & Lucius14. The two of them provide what they do best: a grooving version with drifty percussions and a hint of Funk - not without taking a stop at the Blues Bar.
Last but not least Efka grabs for “Wooden Roller”. Even if that might sound trite: the words deep, dark and dirty describe best what happens here. This is definitely one for the minimal ghetto disko!
